Biography
C. Earl Derrington, Jr. of Jackson MS was with the 78th Infantry Division of the US Army when he was wounded in action and taken prisoner on the following day, December 14, 1944, during the Battle of the Bulge. He was then 20 years old. He was held prisoner at Stalag 69 and Stalag 12-A.

He was awarded a Purple Heart, the Infantry Combat Badge, ETO, the Good Conduct Medal and the POW Medal.

Derrington was also the National Commander (1983-84) of the American Ex-Prisoners of War organization and Legislative Officer in 1977-1984. He was self-employed in the real estate industry. His wife is Pauline Derrington.
